New Lawsuit Against Jamie Foxx

A woman, referred to as Jane Doe, has filed a complaint against actor Jamie Foxx, accusing him of sexually assaulting her at a New York City restaurant in August 2015. The complaint was filed in New York Supreme Court on Wednesday.

The Alleged Incident

According to court records obtained by PEOPLE, Jane Doe claimed that she approached Foxx's table at Catch NYC with a friend to ask for a picture. Foxx reportedly agreed and took several photographs. However, Doe alleged that Foxx seemed intoxicated and made inappropriate comments about her appearance before grabbing her by the waist, moving his hands under her top, and rubbing her breasts. She stated that she tried to step away, but a security guard who witnessed the incident did not intervene.

Foxx's Response

Jamie Foxx's spokesperson responded to the complaint, stating that the alleged incident never happened. The spokesperson also mentioned that a similar lawsuit was filed against Foxx in 2020, which was dismissed shortly after. Foxx intends to pursue a claim for malicious prosecution against the woman and her attorneys for re-filing the lawsuit.

What's Next?

It remains to be seen how this lawsuit will unfold. While some cases, like Sean Combs' settlement with Cassie, have been resolved quickly, Foxx's statement suggests that he is confident the claims against him will be dismissed. Only time will tell what happens next.
