Cox's Favorite Line: "I love you, but you are not serious people"
During a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Emmy winner Brian Cox shared his favorite line from HBO's hit family drama, Succession. Cox revealed that his favorite line to say as Logan Roy was, "I love you, but you are not serious people," directed towards his character's children. He explained that he loved the line and wished he had said it earlier, as he felt that his on-screen children were often "damned unserious."
The Line's Origin
The line in question comes from the second episode of Season 4, titled "Rehearsal." In this episode, Logan meets with his children Kendall, Shiv, Roman, and Connor for the first time after betraying them in the Season 3 finale. This powerful line showcases Logan's frustration with his children's lack of seriousness.
Succession's Success
Succession, which recently concluded its four-season run, has received over 20 nominations for the final season, including Outstanding Drama Series. The show has captivated audiences with its complex characters and gripping storyline.
What's Next for the Characters?
In the series finale, Tom Wambsgans, played by Matthew Macfadyen, becomes the new CEO of Waystar after being offered the position by Lukas Matsson. Meanwhile, creator Jesse Armstrong has hinted that Shiv, played by Sarah Snook, may have the potential to reclaim the company in the future due to her role as the CEO's wife.
Star-Studded Cast and Production
Succession boasted an impressive ensemble cast, including Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Sarah Snook, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, and many more talented actors. The show was created and executive produced by a team of industry professionals, including showrunner Jesse Armstrong, Adam McKay, Frank Rich, and Will Ferrell.
